MEGANAUT attacks the crowds at SXSW09

Our latest guerilla-marketing scheme was to ‘attack’ the SXSW crowds with ‘Meganaut’ the 10-foot walking Robot. We commissioned Ben Schave, a professional stilt-walker to custom-design a costume to look like our logo, Meganaut the robot and to walk downtown Austin on stilts each night of the SXSW Music festival. We armed a team of attractive females with stickers, flyers and a two-song demo CD to pass out to SXSW attendees and the press, while walking with the giant ‘Meganaut’. This got us world-wide press, most notably, Neil McCormick with the London Telegraph, Infidel Sorcerers of the Air Music blog and the Twin Cities Decider.
