About
Jeff Henson’s career as a studio engineer and producer has heavily influenced the music of Meganaut. He continues to work with several notable studios, including Infinity Recording Studios and Stinson Studios, a Grammy Awards-winning studio. Some notable clients include Drew Smith’s Lonely Choir (who was awarded 2008 # 1 Album of the Year Award from Austin.com), Vast, Pirates of Dark Water (featuring members of The Sword and Octopus Project), Mady Kaye and several more. He has become best known for his ability to produce great guitar sounds and for his attention to nuances and small details. In looking at these nuances he stumbled upon an amazingly solid pop drummer named Mark Brown, who was then playing with local band Peter Elliott and the Sellouts. The 2 soon formed Meganaut and while recording the band Concombre Zombie Jeff made fast friends with front man/lead guitar player Mark Canepa, who made a name for himself touring the world with the bay area band Hayride to Hell. Mark soon after played lead on an early Meganaut recording and he’s been contributing to making MEGANAUT a successful rock band ever since. After the initial demo cd released the band added the multi-instrumentalist Aaron Fenton to the bass guitar and the band was complete.
